What is Yoga ?

Yoga is a powerful modality that can assist in resolving stress, anxiety and resulting tensions. It is an ancient tradition taught from many teachings which all point to bringing harmony within ourselves, with a felt sense of integration between our bodies, breath and mind. This feeling of integration transpires into our relationships that we have with others as well as with our greater community.

Why Yoga ?

Yoga provides us with the tools for managing stress, strengthening our core, and increasing flexibility in our bodies and minds while cultivating awareness and focus to ultimately feel connected and integrated with ourselves and others.

Yoga with Heidi

Beginning Yoga Series

The beginning yoga series will take you through the fundamentals of breath awareness, proper alignment, stability and focus via a sequence of standing and seated poses.  We use yoga props and music to enhance the yoga experience and each series explores a journey from head to toe !

Restorative

The restorative classes are 7 - 12 restful poses on the mat which are held longer than the traditional yoga poses, often with the support of props such as blankets to help calm the nervous system.

Private Sessions

These  yoga private session are tailored to your individual situation.  We send you an intake form so that we can design a practice based on your needs.  We can also combine your yoga practice with a somatic experiencing or craniosacral session.

Be Yourself

We leave the feelings of pressure to "perform" outside the yoga door and encourage connections with our strengths as well as weaknesses. We do this by offering a myriad of simple solutions including breath work, movement and mental exercises creating a safe and personal space together where your nervous system will lead the way towards relaxation and healing.

I am a fully trained Yoga teacher who has taught yoga for 17 years.
I teach the yoga series from a place of complete acceptance of your physical limitations, creating a welcoming space for you to be exactly where you are.

Many of my students come to class because their bodies are tight and ache from physical exercise, stress and trauma or just plain old getting older. These symptoms often come from navigating our mental capacities, cutting ourselves off from the rest of our body and breath.

Many Students leave the practice of yoga because of the typical " all in one " yoga class experience where they get injured or the class is too difficult.

They are also busy and can't always make classes when scheduled.

We are a supportive community of beginning yoga students
